If there’s one thing Machon Banks loves, it’s bringing people together—and what better way to do that than over a cup of thoughtfully crafted tea. As one of the co-founders of Bhakeny’s Steep Creations, a Raleigh-based organic tea company, Machon pours her heart into creating blends that not only taste amazing but also inspire connection and wellness.

Her journey started at Western Carolina University, where she was a collegiate track star, pushing her limits and forming lifelong bonds. It was there that she met her husband, Kenneth Banks (a football player at WCU), along with their close friends and fellow co-founders,

Wykesha Hayes (track teammate) and Kerry Hayes (football player). The teamwork, dedication, and friendships built on the field evolved into something even greater—a shared vision for creating high-quality tea with purpose and passion.

With over 10 years of experience in business development, leadership, and relationship-building, Machon is a powerhouse when it comes to bringing ideas to life. But what truly sets her apart is her caring nature and infectious energy—she has a knack for making people feel valued, heard, and uplifted. Whether she’s helping customers find the perfect tea blend or working behind the scenes to expand Bhakeny’s reach, she leads with heart and authenticity.

For Wykesha Hayes, tea is more than just a comforting drink—it’s a powerful tool for healing, wellness, and renewal. As one of the co-founders of Bhakeny’s Steep Creations, she has a deep and personal connection to the herbal blends crafted by the company. Her journey into organic, natural teas was born from overcoming significant health challenges, leading her to discover the remarkable benefits of holistic remedies.

Her passion for wellness isn’t just theoretical—it’s lived experience. With the unwavering support of her husband, Kerry Hayes, her children, and her close friends and fellow co-founders, Machon and Kenneth Banks, Wykesha explored the healing potential of herbal teas and natural ingredients. What started as a personal quest to regain strength evolved into a mission to share what she’s learned with others, ensuring that more people can access nourishing, thoughtfully curated blends to support their health.

A natural caregiver at heart, Wykesha works in rehabilitation, dedicating herself to helping people regain movement, confidence, and well-being. Her empathetic and vibrant nature

With a strong foundation in operations and safety management, Kenneth L. Banks brings over two decades of leadership experience into every aspect of Bhakeny’s Steep Creations. As co-founder and lead recipe developer, Kenneth is the creative engine behind each handcrafted tea blend—thoughtfully pairing ingredients to support wellness, balance, and flavor.

His expertise isn’t just rooted in taste—Kenneth’s background as a Certified OSHA Safety Coordinator translates directly into Bhakeny’s unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and compliance. From sourcing and handling herbs to packaging and delivery, he ensures every step of the process meets the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and consistency. His attention to operational detail means that each blend isn’t only effective—it’s made with care, precision, and integrity.

With extensive experience in distribution management, cost control, and project leadership, Kenneth has helped build Bhakeny’s into a business that runs smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring customers receive the best possible product with every order.
